2020 Monthly Photo Contest sponsored by Parkville Coffeehouse
The Friends of Parkville Nature Sanctuary continues the new year with Parkville Coffeehouse as the title sponsor for its monthly photo contest. The popular business in downtown Parkville was a big supporter of the contest in its first two years, displaying winning photos and information on how to enter, and we're excited to have the Coffeehouse as our official sponsor. So, do you want to participate? Are you an amateur photographer? Grab your camera and head to the Parkville Nature Sanctuary and look for images that reflect the wild area's unique beauty.
HOW IT WORKS Amateur photographers choose their best photo for each month, then email the jpeg file to Friends. Photographers who accept compensation for their work are considered professionals and are not eligible.* A panel of judges votes on the best image, and the winner has his or her photo framed and displayed at Parkville City Hall, the Parkville Coffeehouse and the Backyard Bird Center. Winners also are recognized at a Board of Aldermen meeting at Parkville City Hall, where they receive an honorary certificate and a gift card.
